  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup almonds, chopped
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
  • 12 tablespoons almond milk (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease your loaf pan.
  2. In a bowl, mix diced pears with cinnamon and honey, then set aside.
  3. Whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in another bowl.
  4. Beat the softened butter and brown sugar together until fluffy.
  5. Add eggs and vanilla extract to the butter mixture; mix well.
  6. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  7. Gently fold in the pear mixture and chopped almonds.
  8. Pour the batter into the greased loaf pan and smooth the top.
  9. Bake for 60-70 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
  10. Prepare the glaze by mixing powdered sugar with almond milk until smooth.
  11. Cool the bread for about 10 minutes, then drizzle the glaze over it before serving.
