  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Gather Ingredients: Start by gathering all the ingredients listed above.
  2. Make the Marinade: In a mixing bowl, combine the soy sauce, olive oil, minced garlic, brown sugar, black pepper, paprika, onion powder, and red pepper flakes if desired. Stir well to create a marinade.
  3. Marinate the Steak: Place the flank steak in a resealable plastic bag, pour the marinade over it, seal tightly, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes (preferably up to 8 hours or overnight).
  4. Preheat the Skillet: Preheat a cast iron skillet over medium-high heat.
