Delightful homemade candied orange slices that serve as a sweet treat, garnish, or healthy snack.

  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1 cup of water

Instructions

  1. Slice the oranges thinly, aiming for about 1/8-inch thickness, and remove any seeds.
  2. In a saucepan, combine 1 cup of sugar and 1 cup of water. Stir and bring to a boil over medium heat.
  3. Once boiling, reduce heat and add the orange slices to the syrup, ensuring they are submerged.
  4. Simmer the slices for about 45 minutes until they become translucent.
  5. Carefully remove the slices from the syrup and place them on a wire rack to cool and dry.
  6. Once dried, enjoy your candied orange slices as a garnish, in recipes, or as a snack.

Notes

Store in an air-tight container; they can last for up to a month when stored properly.
