1 Pre-made pie crust
4–5 cups sliced apples (mix of tart and sweet)
3/4 cup brown sugar
1 cup toffee bits
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/4 cup butter
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 tsp vanilla extract
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
In a large mixing bowl, combine sliced apples, lemon juice, brown sugar, cinnamon, and toffee bits. Toss it gently until the apples are coated.
If using a homemade crust, roll it out on a floured surface until it fits your pie dish. Place the crust in the dish, trimming the edges as necessary.
Pour the apple mixture into the prepared pie crust, distributing evenly. Dot the top with small pieces of butter.
If making a double-crust pie, roll out another layer and crimp the edges to seal. Alternatively, create a lattice crust.
Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes. Reduce the temperature to 350°F (175°C) and continue baking for another 30-40 minutes until the apples are tender and the crust is golden.
Allow the pie to cool for about an hour before slicing. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream.
