Cornbread Casserole

Cornbread casserole combines the warmth of cornbread with the heartiness of a casserole, making it a perfect dish for family dinners or gatherings.

  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 can creamed corn (15 oz)
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the cornmeal, milk, creamed corn, shredded cheese, melted butter, eggs, sugar, baking powder, and a bit of salt and pepper until well combined.
  3. Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  4. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly.
  5. Bake for about 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the center is firm.
  6. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
