Creamy Cajun Crab Pasta Salad

A refreshing pasta salad combining sweet crab meat with zesty Cajun spices and colorful vegetables, perfect for gatherings.

  • 8 ounces pasta (such as rotini or penne)
  • 1 cup fresh crab meat
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 cup diced bell peppers (red and green)
  • 1/4 cup diced celery
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and rinse under cold water.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the mayonnaise, sour cream, Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Whisk until smooth.
  3. Add the cooled pasta to the dressing bowl. Gently fold in the crab meat, diced bell peppers, diced celery, and sliced green onions.
  4. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to chill and allow flavors to meld.
  5. Before serving, stir the salad to redistribute the dressing and serve cold.

Notes

For leftovers, store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2-3 days. Avoid freezing any portion of the salad.
