1 onion, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
4–5 medium potatoes, peeled and diced
1 carrot, diced
1 stalk celery, diced
4 cups vegetable or chicken broth
1 cup heavy cream
1 pound smoked sausages, sliced

In a large pot, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced onion and sauté for about 3-4 minutes until soft and translucent.
