6 cups apples, peeled and sliced
1 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup milk
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a large bowl, combine the sliced apples, 1/2 cup of sugar, and ground cinnamon. Toss until the apples are well coated. Let them sit for about 15 minutes.
In another mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, remaining sugar, baking powder, and salt. Stir in the melted butter and milk until just combined.
Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish and spread the apple mixture evenly across the bottom. Pour the batter over the apples without mixing.
Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and bubbling.
Let the cobbler cool for about 10 minutes before serving. Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
