Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease your donut pan with a little oil or non-stick spray.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the pumpkin puree, sugar, egg, and vegetable oil. Stir until well incorporated.
In the same bowl, add the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt. Mix gently until just combined. The batter should be thick but pourable.
Using a piping bag or a spoon, carefully fill each donut mold about 3/4 full. Don’t overfill, as they will rise while baking.
Place the donut pan in the preheated oven and bake for 12-15 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
Allow the donuts to cool for about 5 minutes in the pan, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Enjoy them plain, dusted with powdered sugar, or dipped in your favorite glaze!
