  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup salted butter (softened)

  • 3 cups sliced apples
  • 1/2 cup salted caramel sauce
  • 1 tsp cinnamon

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9×13 inch baking dish with parchment paper and set aside.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, brown sugar, and salt. Add the softened butter and mix until crumbly. Press the mixture evenly into the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
  • Bake your crust in the preheated oven for about 15 minutes or until lightly golden brown.
  • In another bowl, mix the sliced apples with granulated sugar, cinnamon, and a little lemon juice to prevent browning. Toss until the apples are well-coated.
  • Remove the crust from the oven. Layer the apple mixture evenly over the crust and drizzle with half of the salted caramel sauce.
  • Return the dish to the oven and bake for an additional 25-30 minutes, or until the apples are soft and bubbly.
  • Allow the bars to cool in the pan for at least 10 minutes. Once cooled, drizzle the remaining salted caramel sauce on top, and sprinkle with a pinch of sea salt, if desired.
