Instant Pot Shredded Beef

Tender and flavorful shredded beef cooked effortlessly in an Instant Pot, perfect for tacos, sandwiches, or served alone.

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs beef chuck roast
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Set the Instant Pot to the sauté function and brown the onions and garlic for 2-3 minutes.
  2. Season the beef with salt, pepper, smoked paprika, chili powder, and cumin on both sides.
  3. Add the seasoned beef to the pot on top of the sautéed onions and garlic.
  4. Pour the beef broth over the meat.
  5. Seal the lid and set the Instant Pot to cook on manual mode for 60 minutes.
  6. Once cooking is complete, allow the pressure to release naturally for 10 minutes, then switch to quick release.
  7. Remove the beef from the pot and shred it using two forks.
  8. Serve as desired or use in tacos, sandwiches, rice bowls, or salads.

Notes

For a richer flavor, consider searing the beef before adding onions and garlic. Add fresh herbs during cooking for extra aroma.
