Old-Fashioned Peach Cobbler

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine sliced peaches with 1 cup sugar, lemon juice, and ground cinnamon. Stir gently and let sit.
  3. In another bowl, mix together flour, milk, melted butter, baking powder, and salt until smooth.
  4. Pour the batter into a greased baking dish. Spoon the peach mixture over the batter without stirring.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.
  6. Allow to cool for a few minutes and serve warm.
